He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Edward and Nellie Margaret Reeves Brantley; and his siblings, Jack Harold Brantley, Carol Hobbs and Lillian Sawyer.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne Hodges Brantley of Brewton; his sons, William James "Jim" Benton of Philadelphia and Kevin Michael Benton (Summer) of Brewton; and his sister Mary Nell Katter of Saint Mary's. He is also survived by 6 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.
