He was predeceased by: his parents, Geno Appleton and Mary Jo Appleton; and his brother Charlie "Boo" Appleton. He is survived by: his wife Suzette Appleton; his children, Chad Appleton (Faith) and Chandra Rogers; his grandchildren, Turner Appleton (Katie Jo), Benson Rogers (Sheridan Baker), Tori, Elijah Appleton, Braylee and Blaine Rogers; and his siblings, Paul Appleton (Gina) and Donna Appleton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many "adopted" grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Valley Funeral Home - Stevenson (1214 Kentucky Ave, Stevenson, AL 35772). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
