He was predeceased by : his parents, Rev. Ralph Gholston and Shirley Gholston; his grandparents, Raymond, Jeannetta Gholston and Frank Davis; and his great-niece Krinley Nicole Gholston.

He is survived by : his nephew Ronnie Dale Gholston; his daughter Teshia Gholston; and his siblings, Sharon Gholston, Patricia O'Neal (James), Vern Gholston (Sheila) and Ronnie (Runt). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and host friends.
