We announce the death of Laren Alexander McCloud of Bridgeport, Alabama, who passed away on August 8, 2026. Laren will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Laren will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Laren will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Laren’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Cecil McCloud and Willie Murlee McCloud; and his brothers, Vernon McCloud, Remal Jerry McCloud, Dennis McCloud and Dale McCloud.
He is survived by: his siblings, Beatrice Jones (Jack) of Indiana and Alton McCloud of Georgia. He is also survived by many nephews/nieces.
He also loved working at the ARC of Scottsboro before the COVID of 2020.
