He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Parten and Claude Parten; his sister Mary Helen Flowers; and his brother-in-law Earl Flowers. He is survived by: his wife Martha Jo Parten; his son Marcus Parten (Brandi); his grandchildren, Caleb, Sarah Elizabeth and Emma James; and his sisters, Lois Lambrecht (Charles), Barbara Ann Cannon (Wayne Spidle) and Sylvia Shields (Larry). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairhaven Baptist Church (1504 Cardinal St, Demopolis, AL 36732). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fairhaven Baptist Church or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
