He was predeceased by : his wife Dorothy E. Champion; his daughter Jackie Hallman; his parents, Johnnie Champion and Laura Champion; and his siblings, Charles Champion, Ralph Champion, James Champion, Earl Champion, Marie Patterson and Jackie Allen.
He is survived by : his children, Kenny Carr (Diane), Rhonda Taylor (Robert), Ginger Brasher (Rusty), Angie Boyd (Roscoe) and Rodney Champion; and his grandchildren, Racheal Shull (Tommy), John Patterson, Josh Patterson, Tonya Davis (Robert), Brandy Rotenberry (Adam), Melanie Boyd (Caleb), Ashley Hussung (Will), Tyler Brasher (Casey), Amber Hickey (Jonathan), Cortney Adkins (Nathan), Lori Duncan (Dusty), Kenneth Carr, Kimberly Barger, Tristan Carr, Jayden Carr, Jennifer Sloan and Haley Barry (Cullen). He is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
