He was predeceased by: his wife Fausteen (Williams); his son David; his parents, Alfred "Tobe" Robinson and Bernice Robinson (Lambert); and his siblings, Daniel, Mark, William "Bill", Cleveland "Stevie", Betty Sue, Mary Jo and Judy.

He is survived by: his siblings, Martha Jean, Cathy and Charley; and his sons, Johnny (Renee), George (Shelia) and James. He is also survived by six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
