He is survived by: his children, Michelle Crittenden of Midland City, AL, Desiree Clarke of Baltimore, MD and James Jr. Flythe of Newark, NJ; his grandchildren, Tahquan, Tahquil Flythe of Stone Mountain, GA, Zayyon Lasure, Zyyah Lasure of Newark, NJ, Jameslyn Flythe of Baltimore, MD, Diamond Clarke of Baltimore, MD, Daisy Clarke of Baltimore, MD, Daquasia Clarke of Baltimore, MD, Courtney Dorsey (Ariel) of Dothan, AL, Monique Crittenden of Vestavia Hill, AL and David Crittenden (Kim) of Midland City, AL; his great grandchildren, Darinda Beacham-Dorsey, Angelo Dorsey, Kali Dorsey, Radia Tira, Jarah Davis-Tira, Sir William Crittenden, King Anthony Crittenden and Camrin Jones; and his siblings, Betty Patterson of Brundidge, AL, Gracie M. Phillips of Brundidge, AL, Willease Johnson and Winston Griffin of Troy, AL.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church (222 County Rd #5532, Troy, AL 36081).
