He is survived by: his wife Shirley McWaters; his daughters, Amelia Long (Terry), Tina Senn (Sammy) of Ariton, AL, Shelia McWaters of Roanoke, AL and Sharon Shackelford of Roanoke, AL; his grandchildren, Landan Long (Laura), Jodi Wilson (Josh), Justin Ryan Ellis (Chloe), Dakota Shackelford, Gavin Shackelford (Mallory), Dillon Shackelford (Brooke), Kelsey Wilkerson (Ethan), Dalton Shackelford (Aubree), Gage Shackelford (Emily), Callie Moore (Paxton), Kelton, Tucker and Tanner; and his siblings, Valleen Wood (Jeff), Sylvialeen House and Ed Jr. McWaters (Debbie).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Skeen Funeral Home (707 S George Wallace Dr, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
