He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ross and Gertrude Viola Miles Kirkpatrick; his daughter Julie Kirkpatrick; and his siblings, Ann Kirkpatrick and James Kirkpatrick.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Seabolt Young; and his children, Patty Condra (Calvin), Toni Wooden (James), Kimberly Snyder (John), Tim Kirkpatrick, Stacey Daniel and Roy McBryar (Penny). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
