He is survived by: his wife Connie Slay; his children, Jeremy James Slay (Leslie), Courtenay Rushworth (Marshall), Roy Trent Slay (Shasta Whited) and Ashton Davis (Chad); his grandchildren, Trinity Renee Slay, Zeke Slayden Rushworth and Brooklyn Gass; and his siblings, Joe Slay, Cecil Davis and Sarah Boles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory (11415 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752).
