It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Wayne Skelton of Buhl, Alabama, who passed away on February 15, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Sharon Skelton; his daughter Janet Skelton; his granddaughter Tiffany Kelly; his parents, Robert Skelton and Maddie Booth Skelton; and his siblings, James Roy, Tom, David, Dr. Larry Skelton, Donald Ray Skelton, Myrtle Rice, Lois Hitt and Shirley Falls.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Burroughs Skelton of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; his children, Mike Skelton (Sheila), Annette Channell (Tim) of Buhl, Ala. and Teresa Pritchett (Darrell) of Buhl, Ala.; his stepchildren, Anita Smart of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Dana Fisher (Roger) of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Jody Lindsey (Tracy) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; his grandchildren, Michael Skelton (Lynsey), Miranda Steen (David), Brandon Kelly, Brad Kelly, Justin Pritchett (Bethany) and Courtney Pritchett; his stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Smart (Amanda), Lindsey Fowler (Jacob) and Logan Fisher (Kristin); his great grandchildren, Robbi Ann Skelton, Barrett Skelton, Kasen Steen, Jon Tanner Kelly, Mason Kelly, Sawyer Kelly, Devin Kelly, Alexis Kelly, Ava Lynn Pritchett and Riley Pritchett; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kennedy Rose Fowler, Ellis Fowler, Sutton Smart and Emilia Claire Fisher; and his friend Jesus.
