She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry L. Rice and May Lee Kurtz Rice; her husband James D. Murphy, Sr.; and her brother Charles H. Rice. She is survived by : her children, Jan Galbreath (Gary) and James D. Murphy, II (Terri); her grandchildren, Joshua Misenhimer (ShaRonda), Mary Melissa Harpring (Patrick), John Galbreath (Kelsey), Alex Galbreath (Jordan) and Evan Galbreath (Crystal); and her great grandchildren, Joshua Misenhimer, II, Seth James Misenhimer, Lillian Jean Harpring, Stella Joy Harpring, Georgia Rose Harpring and Lily Erin Galbreath.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Southisde Baptist Church Building Fund.

“Bonnie was a beautiful lady and a faithful friend to me and my late husband, David. We were unable to visit each other these last years due to health issues but our friendship was intact. It never waived. My deepest sympathy to Jan, Gary, Jimmy and all the family. As you all know, she dearly loved her family. God bless as you grieve her passing. HIS arms will encircle and lift you during this painful experience. She is at rest. Melba Rogers”
