He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alden Boney, Sr. and Ola Gibson Boney; his wife Wylene Johnson Boney; and his sister Billie Boney Baskin (Charles). He is survived by: his children, John A. Boney (Johnny), Teresa Newton (Mike) and Terry Sue Boney; and his stepchildren, Michelle Sawyer (Greg) and Stuart Newsome (Mary James). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Butler (1203 W Pushmataha St, Butler, AL 36904). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
