He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Dansby Jimmerson and Janie Mosley Jimmerson; his son Phillip Troy Jimmerson; and his brother Johnny E. Jimmerson. He is survived by: his wife Laverne Lovette Jimmerson of Butler, Alabama; his son Cavin Jimmerson (Robbie) of Elberta, Alabama; his sister-in-law Saint Evelyn Jimmerson; his sisters, Vernelle Skinner of Toxey and Barbara Ann Diamond of Haughton, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Teran Jimmerson, Cole Jimmerson (Sarah), Sandrae Young (Cameron), Nate Jimmerson, Lewis Jimmerson, Malachi Rohrer, Evelyn Rohrer, Holden Crook (Destiny) and Peyton Vintson; and his great grandchildren, Emma Kate Pritchett and Cash Crook. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
