John Lawrence Bass Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Lawrence Bass of Cahaba Heights, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Bass and Dorothy C. Bass. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Manzella Bass; his daughters, Tonya Balducci, Kristi Tomberlin (David) and Kellie McDade (Greg); and his grandchildren, JT, Harrison Balducci, Payton, Caroline Tomberlin and Hunter McDade.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church (2 Xavier Cir, Birmingham, AL 35213). A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens (2701 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, AL 35244).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, St. Vincent's Bruno Cancer Center or a charity of your choice in John's memory.
