She was predeceased by : her parents, Barney Champion and Loraine Champion; her son Rodney Middlebrooks; her former life partner Joe Middlebrooks; her siblings, Barney Champion and Mary "Mibby" Bruce; and her niece Lori Champion.

She is survived by : her husband Bill Holsomback; and her nieces and nephews, Buddy Champion (Lynn), Paula Stewart (Monte), Sharon Erwin (Bobby), Wanda Harrell, Amy Henson (Paul), Pattie Truitt (Wes), Jim Ivy (Donna), Beth Teate (Joe) and Sierra Champion.
