He is survived by: his wife Sheila Roper; his children, Lisa Crow (Jim) and Chris Roper (Selena); his grandchildren, Max Brewer, Jayden Rose Brewer, Stephanie Putnam, Nicholas Crow, Reese Roper, Chelsea Roper, Aaron Roper and Jase Roper; his nieces, Misty Martin and Tiffany Shanks; and his brother Rickey Roper (Ellen). He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Charter Funeral Home (2521 US-31, Calera, AL 35040). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
