Though Jackie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Clifford Horton and Elizabeth Horton; his wife Betty Lou Horton; his son Trex Horton; and his brother Belcher Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Roxy Shuttlesworth (Bobby), Tracy O'Neal (David) and Shane Horton; and his siblings, Wayne Horton (Sandra), Zeke Horton (Rosie), Lynn Horton (Melissa) and Edna Smitherman (Bobby). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Life Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
