He was predeceased by : his parents, John "Jack" Joseph Franks and Lenore Franks. He is survived by : his wife Margaret Franks; his children, Sherri Cain (Bob) of Orlando, FL, Barry Franks (Alicia) of Clanton, AL, Erica Beadlecomb (Tommy) of Clanton, AL and Derrick Wright (Candace) of Clanton, AL; his grandchildren, Kyle Toms, Aaron Franks, Colby Franks, Lacey Drake, Andy Drake, Kaitelyn Beadlecomb, Bria Beadlecomb, Karleigh Wright and Wheylyn Wright; his great grandchildren, Kolton Toms and Kyleigh Toms; and his siblings, Don Franks (Carmen) and Bobbie Misheler. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
