He was predeceased by: his parents, George Melton and Lois Melton; and his wife Pamela Melton. He is survived by: his daughters, Angelia Smith Brown (Thomas S. Brown) and Amanda Rene Nichols; his grandchildren, McKenzie Melton, Lillian Melton, Jayden Nichols and Baily Smith; his great grandchild Armani Rue Braxton; his siblings, Sabrina Duncan, Sarah Pace, Shirley Ann Slaten and George Denise Melton; and his close friend Vera L. G. Brown.
