It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Michael Schmidt (Calera, Alabama), who passed away on October 19, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Schmidt and Florence Schmidt; his siblings, Patsy Thatenhurst and Richard Schmidt; and his brothers-in-law, Jon LaFramboise, King Thatenhurst and Dusty Thomas.

He is survived by : his wife Sandi Thomas Schmidt; his children, Tracie Keeney (Todd), Bobbi Goodwin (Randy) and Michael Schmidt (Angelia); his grandchildren, Zack Goodwin (Bri), Sarah Goodwin, Anna Higgins (Michael), Samuel Schmidt and Alexandria Schmidt; and his in-laws, Diane Schmidt, Steve, Ginger Moore, Scott, Angie Thomas, Sheridan LaFramboise and Kathy Probert. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
