Marjorie Jean Young Ivey Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marjorie Jean Young Ivey (Calera, Alabama), born in Birmingham, Alabama, who passed away on January 25, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Young and Mary Young; her husband Bryant Ivey; her son James Bryant Ivey; her brothers, George Howard Young (Kay) and Jimmy Young (Joyce); and her granddaughter Anna Hanger.

She is survived by: her children, Bill Ivey (Cathy), Jan Ivey and Lisa Hanger (Larry); her grandchildren, David Ivey (Jessica) and Mary Ivey Edgar (Dustin); and her great grandchildren, Abigail, Hannah Edgar, Rose and Ty Ivey. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Highland Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Home for Children (Alabama), or Anna's Angel Fund.
