He was predeceased by : his parents, William Dees and Elise Dees; and his siblings, Billy Dees, Alyce Munshower and Jerry Dees.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Myra Dees; his children, Michael Dees Jr. (Tonya), Sheila Dickerson (Michael) and Christy Perez (Dan); his grandchildren, Taylor Simmons (Patrick), Garrett Dees, Jack Dickerson, Alexander Dickerson and Owen Dickerson; and his great grandchild Calvin Don Simmons.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Columbiana Church of Christ.
