She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Arnold and Jean Arnold; her husband Jackie Smitherman; her sister Cheryl; and her brother-in-law Pete Lott.
She is survived by: her children, Samantha Smitherman and Chris Smitherman (Fran); her grandchildren, Sabrina Lee, Christina McCrackin, Brianna McCrackin, Christopher Smitherman and Andrew Smitherman; her great grandchildren, Chloe Lee, Aiden Lee and Dylan McCrackin; and her sibling's children, Patti Lott (Phil) and Mike Lott (Angela).
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charter Funeral Home (2521 US-31, Calera, AL 35040). A memorial service was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
