Ruth Sheppard Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Sheppard (Calera, Alabama), who passed away on February 24, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Sheppard to pay them a last tribute.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Ruth shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ruth farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She is survived by: her sons, Scott Sheppard (Sheila), Kevin Sheppard (Gail) and Brian Sheppard (Laura); her grandchildren, Brittney Brantley (Chad), Kathi Wilks (Josh) and Alex Sheppard; and her brothers, Roger Bruning (Judy) and Keith Bruning (Luz). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, dear friends, and 5 great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Bluff Park UMC in her memory.
