With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Jean Rowe (Camp Hill, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2025 at the age of 78. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Dorothy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She is survived by: her siblings, Anna Mae Bikerstaff of Birmingham, AL, Emily Sumbry of Gary, Indiana, Ophelia Jakes of Gary, Indiana and Hulette Rowe of Camp Hill, AL; her niece Angela Moss; and her close friend Dr. Shasonjia Pearson. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (4 Bond Spur Rd, Camp Hill, AL 36850). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the same location.
