She was predeceased by : her parents, Jess Conway and Daughty Conway; her husband Johnny Lewis Avery; and her siblings, Maxine Rawls, Dean Painter and J. D..

She is survived by : her sons, Charlie Michael Avery (Sharon), Wendell Lewis Avery and Tracy Lee Avery (Lisa); her brother Roger Conway (Peggy); her grandchildren, Heather Harkness (Josh), Cruz Wood (Jamma) and Jon Avery; and her great grandchildren, Carter Williams, Mason Williams, Madison Williams, Henry Harkness and Lucas Wood.
