He is survived by: his son Stuart Vail (Kerry); his sister Jeanette Vail; his grandchildren, Foster Vail (Maesie), Brent Vail (Jalee), Mattie Vail Britt (Hunter) and Sarah Vail Shirley (Coy); his great grandchildren, Emma Vail, Ivy Vail, Blaize Vail, Parker Vail, Drake Britt, Travis Britt and Rhett Shirley; and his great-niece Megan Aucoin.
