She was predeceased by: her parents, Odell Darby and Cupidine Whitehead Darby; her husband Ronald Melvin Smith; and her siblings, Dennis Darby, Kenneth Darby, Gary Darby, Bobby Darby and Sheila Nelson.
She is survived by: her close friend Carol Odom of Castleberry; her sons, Chris Smith (Sara) of Castleberry and Joey Smith (Karla) of Brewton; her brother Jerry Darby (Tammy) of Eureka Landing, Ala; and her grandchildren, Addison Smith, Henry Smith, Reese Smith and Bradi Smith.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Craver's Funeral Home Inc. (44 Foshee Rd, Brewton, AL 36426). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Craver's Funeral Home (44 Foshee Rd, Brewton, AL 36426).
