He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Beer and Virginia Stimpson Beer. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Machleit Beer; his children, John Edward Beer, II and Kimberley McGahey; his sisters, Jeanne, Jane, Janice and Jo Anne; and his granddaughters, Michelle, Destiny and Brandy. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
