He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Franklin Stansell and Ola Mae Stansell. He is survived by: his children, James Stansell, Daniel Stansell and Teresa Stansell; and his grandchildren, Brett Stansell, Breanna Stansell and Mason Stansell.
