He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cothran and Rheba Cothran. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Cothran; his daughter Morgan Sutherland (Justin); and his siblings, Terry Cothran (Barbara), Sandra Hickle (Barry) and Rita Knapp. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and all of his former coworkers.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Home (1611 Clarence E Chesnut Jr Bypass, Centre, AL 35960). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel (1611 Clarence E Chesnut Jr Bypass, Centre, AL 35960). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at the Shady Grove Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery (1055 Old Piedmont Gadsden Hwy, Piedmont, AL 36272).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.
