With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Wayne Melton (Centreville, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 14, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Melton and Willetta Edwards Melton; his wife Jonlee Shores Melton; his son Michael Wayne Melton; his brother Melvin Edward Melton; and his granddaughter Kylie Taylor Morgan.

He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Melton Lawson and Lisa Melton Reuter (Kip); his stepdaughter Eva Pittman Richerson (Phil); his sisters, Faye Melton Harris (Donald) and Debra Melton Smith (Cecil); his grandchildren, Bridger Landrus Post (Stevey), Lindsay Melton Stephens (Ryan), Michael Tanner Melton (Josi) and Olivia Ann Reuter; his stepgrandsons, Asa Richerson and Eli Richerson (Marissa); his great grandchildren, William Whitfield Stephens, Michael Wayne Stephens and Tanner Beck Melton; and his close friend Jackie Warren LeVert.
