In Loving Memory of Steve "Big Guy" Jackson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steve "Big Guy" Jackson on May 28, 2026.
Steve was a devoted husband, loving father, proud Paw Paw, cherished brother, and loyal friend. Known affectionately as "Big Guy," he was loved by many for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to his family. His larger-than-life presence and caring nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
A skilled carpenter and mechanic, Steve took great pride in his work and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed working with his hands and was known for his ability to fix just about anything. Steve was also a die-hard fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and could always be found cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide.
Above all else, Steve loved his family. Being a husband, father, and Paw Paw brought him immense joy. The memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife, Debra Jackson; his daughter, Lindsey Enfinger (John); his son, Dereck "Dub" Jackson; and his two cherished granddaughters, Kailyn and Bre. He is also survived by his sisters, Vicki Martin, Diane Jones, Debra Kizziah (Gary), Thomasine Findley (Donald Earl), and Yvonne; his brothers, Lamar Jackson and Randy Jackson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Edna Jackson, and his siblings, Jessie Jackson, Charles Jackson, Frankie Jackson, Billie Anne Jackson, Ricky Jackson and Janice Jackson.
The family has chosen cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at The City Cafe

Though Steve is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through the family he loved so deeply and the countless lives he touched along the way.
