She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl "Jack" Godwin and Mary Ruth Godwin; her husband Donald Ditmar Schomp; and her brother Harold Godwin. She is survived by: her children, Stasia Ann Schwartz (Dan) of Summerville, SC and Stephan Hale Schomp (Joy) of Chancellor, AL; her brother James Arthur Godwin (Betty); her sister-in-law Jerlon Godwin; and her grandchildren, Mckenna Edwards, Evan Schwartz and Jack Schwartz. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren; and nieces and a nephew.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sardis Methodist Church Cemetery, 2263 Lake Fox Rd, Chancellor, AL 36316 in her honor.
