He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Leon Onderdonk and Eunice Rowell Onderdonk; and his siblings, Benjamin Joseph Onderdonk, Richard Leroy Onderdonk, Carmen Onderdonk Hoggle and Eleanor Onderdonk May.
He is survived by: his sister Leona Onderdonk Rowan (Bill); his children, Dean Onderdonk (Melissa), Leona "Lee" Onderdonk, Laura Onderdonk Olin (Mark), Bonnie Michelle Onderdonk and Andrea Onderdonk McKinley (George); and his grandchildren, Stephanie (Alex), Tiffanie (Frank), Brantley, Cole, Olivia, Mark, Mara, Allison "Allie", Bryce, Lucas and Ian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Washington County Public Library (14102 St Stephens Ave, Chatom, AL 36518). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Chatom Baptist Church (13050 Central Ave, Chatom, AL 36518). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:20 AM at the Chatom Town Cemetery.
