He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wallace Keel Sr. (JW) and Eunice Clyde Huggins Keel; and his brother James Keel, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Keel; his daughter Rebecca Johnston; his grandson T. J. Johnston; his nephews, Jeffery and Archie Keel; his niece Maria Nichols Eaton (Layne); his great-nephew Alex Eaton; his sister Cindy; and his siblings-in-law, Nick Nichols, Carolyn Keel and Bryant Parnell.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bro. Phillip Howard Officiating and Lathan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Washington Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Washington Baptist Church in Roger's memory.
