We are sad to announce that on November 29, 2025, at the age of 86, Frances Blackerby Ray of Chelsea, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Ken Ray; her parents, Lloyd Blackerby and Ethel Blackerby of Chelsea; Charles Blackerby of Mableton, Georgia.. She is survived by: her brother Pat Blackerby (Jerrie); her sibling's children, Jeff Blackerby (Renea) and Cindy Blackerby Edwards (Mike); her sister-in-law Joyce Blackerby; her sibling's children, Wayne Blackerby (Pam), Steve Blackerby (Sonya) and Chris Blackerby; and her sister-in-law Donna Ray Mann. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bolton Funeral Home (207 Hwy 47, Columbiana, AL 35051). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ken and Frances Ray Scholarship Fund at Liberty Baptist Church.
