He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Harry Carpenter; his son Joel Carpenter; and his parents, Louis Henry Jr. and Elizabeth Carolyn Patterson Carpenter. He is survived by: his sons, Alan Carpenter (Traci), Kelly Carpenter and Jeffrey Harry (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Belle Carpenter, Colton Carpenter and Bethany Harry; his great grandchildren, Riata Carpenter and LariAnne Brindley Carpenter; and his brother James "Jim" Carpenter (Shelia).
