With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph Wilson Rutland of Cherokee, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 20, 2025 at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Rutland and Laverne Rutland; and his brothers, Gerald Rutland and Warren Rutland. He is survived by: his wife Veda Rutland; his children, Monica Remkus (Kirk) and Mark Rutland (Candi); his grandchildren, Brett Remkus, Tyler Remkus (Heather), Janice Wood (Cody), Caylee Parker (Will) and Beau Rutland; his great grandchildren, Leroy Remkus, Margie Lou Remkus, Grant Remkus and River Wood; and his sisters-in-law, Elaine Rutland and Patricia Rutland.
A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Morrison Funeral Home - Cherokee (10865 US-72, Cherokee, AL 35616).
