He was predeceased by: his wife Linda Glover Sockwell; his parents, Claude Sockwell and Lula Mae Sockwell; and his brothers, J. C., Barney, Norris and Terry Sockwell.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Sockwell Brashier (Roy) and Keith Sockwell (Ann); his sister Judy Sockwell Martin; his grandsons, Chad Sockwell (Tara) and Nathan Sockwell (Jess); and his great grandchildren, Cade and Katie Mae Sockwell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
