He was predeceased by: his wife Johnnie Carter Rich; his daughter Lisa Eilene Rich; his parents, Howard Archibald Rich and Lessie Bains Rich; and his siblings, Jane Rich Owen, Ronald Rich and Howard Rich, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Sherry Bennett (Billy), Charlene Patterson and Jon Rich (Kim); his grandchildren, Kim Boyd (Bobby), Will Bennett, Zach Bennett (Melody), Whit Patterson, Wes Rich (Molly) and Lauren May (PJ); his great grandchildren, Devin Zinn, Dalton Boyd, Oliver Bennett, Millie Bennett, Gunner Rich, Grady Rich, Raelyn Doss and Carter May; and his sister Carol Rich Taylor. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
