He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae and Roy Saranthus; his son Harold Saranthus Jr.; and his siblings, Bessie Janice Jackson, Mittie Laverne Saranthus, JB, Walter, Algene, Pete and Charles.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Tina Rylee, Leigh Ann Ward (Brad) and Kenneth Saranthus (Carrie); and his daughter-in-law Charlene Saranthus. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
