He is survived by: his children, Virginia Lester (Michael), Bill Newburn (Samantha), Lisa Newburn and Sharon Thompson; his grandchildren, Laneta Lester, Matthew Newburn (Harley), Morgen Prine (Joel), Bentley Newburn, Chelsea Mae Newburn, Mitchell Lester, Joseph Knue and River Newburn; his great grandchildren, Jada, Jozlynn, Colton, Saidee, Waylon, Carston, Maycie, Adaleigh and Darren; his great great grandchildren, Jaxon and Sylus; and his sister Louise Henderson.
A wake was held on Tuesday, September 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Freeman Funeral Home (19180 Center St, Citronelle, AL 36522). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Cedar Creek Church-Brethren (20365 Meinhardt Loop Rd W, Citronelle, AL 36522). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 10th 2025 at the Cedar Creek Brethren Cemetery (20365 Meinhardt Loop Rd W, Citronelle, AL 36522).
