He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Smith; his parents, Genevieve B. Rowell and Russell E. Smith; and his brother-in-law Dickie Lowe. He is survived by: his daughters, Brandi Turner (Dwayne) and Baylee Smith (Daryl); his close friend Cathy Hennington; his grandchildren, Jarrett Turner (Marlena), Trenton Turner, Camilla Turner and Dalton Hicks; his great grandchild Ariella Turner; and his siblings, Jackie Lowe, Jamie Clanton (Doug) and Jeff Smith (Sandra).
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Brannan Cemetery (16825 Brannan Fork Rd, Citronelle, AL 36522).
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Brannan Cemetery, 11070 Earl Stringer Rd. Citronelle, AL. 36522 in memory of Joe.
