He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marvin and Sallie Patrick (McCray); his wife Marilyn Patrick; and his siblings, James Patrick, Harry Patrick, Juanita Bailey, Urcel Austin, John M. Patrick, Jr., Audrey Beebe and Esther Beech.

He is survived by: his children, Renee Patrick, April Gomez (Adam), Esther Patrick (David Yntema), Rebecca O'Connor (Mike), Jonathan Patrick (Michelle), Goob and Bo-J.; his great grandchildren, Rey, Isaac and Aurora Gomez; his siblings, Blewett Patrick, Sallie McMillan, Jane Walls (Charles) and Ronald Patrick (Gloria); Mark, Cheri Ellison and Rachel Stanley.
