He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Sikes Skidmore; his parents, James Curtis Skidmore and Sallie Madden Skidmore; and his siblings, Larry Skidmore, Donnie Skidmore, Doris Brooks and Betty Sue Bavar.
He is survived by: his sons, Barry Curtis Skidmore (Tonya) and Byron Keith Skidmore (Becky); his grandchildren, Brandon Skidmore, Jerrod Skidmore (Patience), Morgan Hinton (Kyle) and Avery Skidmore; and his great grandchildren, Jace Skidmore, Kennedy Skidmore, Blakely Skidmore, Avery Hinton, Lane Hinton and Brooks Hinton.
