He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Codey and Mary Lee Barnett Codey; and his wife Barbara J. Codey. He is survived by: his children, Dana Codey Emmerich (Steven) of Clanton, Patrick Charles Codey of Clanton and Kimberly Codey of Clanton; his grandsons, Mark W. Townsell, Jr. of Sylacauga and Nicholas C. Townsell of Clanton; and his sisters, Peggy Massey of Birmingham and Mary Jane Stewart of Gardendale. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
