He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Yawn and James Alvin Simmons; and his brother Roger Neal Simmons. He is survived by: his daughter Megan Burnett (Nick); his girlfriend Belinda Ann Simmons; his stepsons, Darryl Wayne Sims, II (Wanda Gail) and Joshua Winfield Cornell (Angela); his siblings, Jimmy Allen Simmons, Donald Jackson, Billy Wayne Simmons, Daniel Keith "Danny" Simmons, Kirk Jackson (Traci), Teresa Donovan (John), Dianne Tannell Simmons and Tammy Lola Crosby; his grandchildren, Colt Burnett, Natalie Burnett, Cole Sims, Lexi Sims, Kaidance Sims, Hannah Cornell, Macie Cornell and Liam Willis; and his great grandchild Raelyn Jade Sims (Wayne Barron).
